Suzanka Belik is an interdisciplinary visual and multimedia artist based in Baltimore, MD. She creates work using a combination of traditional and digital processes, including gouache, acrylic, watercolor, and collage from recycled materials alongside photography, video editing, and digital art tools. These elements are frequently brought together through projection, allowing digital imagery to interact with physical textures and architectural space.
For the past four years, she has worked as a freelance videographer and photographer, documenting live performances, recording sessions, and producing music videos for musicians around Baltimore. As both a visual artist and classically trained musician, her approach is shaped by an understanding of musical structure and collaboration, enabling her to capture moments as they are experienced by the performers themselves, illuminated by her eye for cinematography and composition.
Suzanka is graduating from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Classical Horn Performance, and also plays the viola. Her performance practice centers on live multimedia chamber works that spotlight the music of living composers and integrate sound with her projected visual artwork to create immersive performance environments.
